TV series logo design

I designed a logo for a Japanese TV series “PORTAL-X: Observations behind the door”, which is broadcasted on WOWOW from January 2024. The series director is Shunta Ito. The main visuals are made by Denki Yoshida.

The drama follows the discovery of portals that lead to parallel worlds, and the mission of the journalists who are allowed to travel to the other side of the portal to investigate. A world where people have begun to interact with underground aliens, a world where children are no longer born - all of these seem "absurd", but are they really "absurd"? And what makes the world we live in today seem "normal"? A poignant portrayal of contemporary society based on the message that there are truths that can be shown only in a world of fiction.

WOWOWにて2024年1月から放送されるドラマ 『PORTAL-X～ドアの向こうの観察記録～』 のタイトルロゴをデザインしました。監督は伊藤峻太さん、撮影・音楽は椎名遼さん。メインビジュアルデザインは吉田電気さんによるもの。

ドラマは 「ポータル」 というパラレルワールドにつながるドアの発見から、移動を許されたジャーナリストがドアの向こう側に調査に行くミッションを描く。地底人との交流を始めた世界、子どもが生まれなくなった世界──どれも 「ありえない」 ように感じるけれど、果たして本当に 「ありえない」 のだろうか、私たちの今生きている世界を 「通常」 と思わせるのはなんなのか。虚構の世界だからこそ伝えられる真実があるというメッセージの元につくられた、現代社会をするどく描く作品。
