Jeg behøver kun sol og regn

Danish children book design 

I designed a book for Danish children's book author Morten Dürr. The title 'Jeg behøver kun sol og regn' means 'I only want sunshine and rain'. This mystical story was inspired by Nordic mythology and reflects the sensitive mind of a child. It also contains a criticism of greed in modern society.

Illustrations are made by Rasmus Svarre, a Danish painter. He provided a lot of beautiful, mesmerising images drawn with the use of ink and pastels for this book.

デンマーク人児童書作家のMorten Dürr さんのブックデザインを担当しました。タイトルの 「Jeg behøver kun sol og regn」 は 日本語で 「（私は）太陽と雨だけが必要」 という意味です。北欧の神話にヒントを得たダークかつ、子どもの繊細な心を映し出すストーリー。現代社会への皮肉も込められています。 

イラストレーションは、同じくデンマーク人で画家のRasmus Svarreさん。インクやパステルを使用して描かれた深みのある美しいイメージをたくさん描いてくださいました。
